Audio Archive - Soundtracks( 0:55:11)
Episode Information
Hosted by Eddie and Glen. In my collecting I have acquired a goodly number of movie soundtracks, some are very average while others are great. I've bought some of the great ones along for tonight's show. The first half consists of songs from the soundtracks to the Return of the Living Dead and Repo Man, two great movies with excellent 80's punk music. For the second half I have got three New York crime flicks made by great soul musicians: Super Fly (Curtis Mayfield), Across 110th Street (Bobby Womack) and Together Brothers (Barry White & Love Unlimited). Some great tunes from some great films!

Audio Archive - Fats Navarro( 0:55:21)
Episode Information
Hosted by Glen and Eddie. Fats Navarro was one of jazz' skyrockets, he flew high and bright, but not for long. Starting as a trumpeter in the big bands, he made his fame when bebop appeared. When Dizzy Gillespie picked him to take his place in Roy Eldridge's combo he was at the forefront of jazz. It was all cut tragically short with his death at 26, leaving us with a remarkable legacy and the question what if?

Listen to an hour of great jazz played by two great artists.

Episode Information
Hosted by Eddie and Glen. When I get some records they are listened to an put on the shelf (I listen to everything I get), others I find much more difficult to put aside. In this show I play selections from several such records which have charmed me to the point of repeated plays. Hosted by Eddie and Glen. In this episode of the Audio Archive I play tracks from bands that you will have never heard of. Mainly from the 1970's these bands never went on for one reason or another. I'm offering a small prize (of my astonishment) if anyone is familiar with the following groups; Rockets, Trigger, Rough Diamond, Topaz and Trickster. We also present the wild and weird musical stylings of the mighty Root Boy Slim and Alberto Y Los Trios Paranoias which has to be heard to be believed!

Jazz Compilations( 0:53:9)
Episode Information
Hosted by Glen and Eddie. In my (admittedly huge) collection of Jazz I have a goodly number of compilations. They do not get the same amount of play as albums by a single artist, but there is a wealth of great Jazz among them. In this episode we play tracks from three very different compilations. From Prestige records we have a compilation of Soul Masterpieces, from Candid records we have a record that supports a book written by the notable Jazz writer Nat Hentoff and lastly (but by no means leastly) we have the Definitive Jazz Scene Volume Three presented by Impulse records. The whole makes for an hour of great and varied Jazz, enjoy!

Audio Archive - Lee Morgan( 0:53:33)
Episode Information
Hosted by Glen and Eddie. There are many 'what-ifs' in the annals of Jazz and the story of Lee Morgan is one such. A key member of the hard bop movement and a cornerstone of the Blue Note label he was tragically shot and killed at the age of 34. Leaving a body of work that many artists would be proud of after a full life the question remains what would he have achieved had he lived longer. In this show we take tracks from the albums The Cooker and Lee-Way as well as tracks from a special memorial album released by Blue Note.
