It's fish week. To help at Christmas, Pak'n'Save, Rotary, Lions and (not least) Starfish Kapiti are coming together on the 17th to hand out food bags at Pak'n'Save from 09.00. Eligible recipients are Gold Card holders. Included in the bags will be vacuum packed (not frozen) fillets of Orange Roughy donated by Wayne of Starfish.
To help with turning these fillets into tasty meals, Gail has come up with four different ways of cooking them:- a 'warm fish salad', 'fish and spinach in cheese sauce with crunchy topping', 'smoked fish turnover with sweet and sour sauce' and 'fish fillets with citrus sauce'.
With advance notice Peter had cooked the 'fish and spinach' dish and proclaimed it to be excellent. See photos on Coast Access Facebook.
